This is a new )to the UK, anyway,) sport for visually Impaired people that is very popular in Eastern Europe, it’s a hybrid of table teenis and air hockey. We have secured funding for the table with associated equipment and we have a young client who is keen to get involwed with running a weekly session.
Showdown is one of the sports included in the 2023 International Blind Sports Association’s World Games being held in Birmingham in 2023 so there is even an opportunity to representyour country.
We have placed an order for the table and are waiting for a delivery date so we hope will be prior to Christmas.
